Wont nap for longer than half an hour unless on me

My little girl is 6 months on Sunday and she will not nap for longer than half an hour at a time in the day unless on me. I’ve tried dark room, putting down asleep/awake/drowsy, putting in next to me to nap - she just wakes up after half an hour unless she’s on me! I love it, but it can’t last forever soooo…

Tips PLEASE!♥️

Some babies don’t need to take long naps, my baby only naps for 30/40 minutes a time too x

No tips but my son only has 3 or 4 15-20 min naps during the day and sleep between 10-12 hours a night x

SAME. And he needs more sleep that 30 mins, it’s definitely not enough for him! Apparently as they get older they will eventually learn to connect sleep cycles, so I keep trying him in the next to me and praying he will eventually have a long nap in there!

I think it’s very normal. Most of my girls naps are 30 mins then every few days she will do one long one xx

Thank you! She also struggles to stay awake after 6pm so this is probably why xxx

My baby is only sleeping 30 mins too ☺️ but she had a 1 hour sleep earlier when I took her for a walk, she randomly does it where she sleeps longer here and there! I think sometimes changing it up may help I don’t know 🤷‍♀️☺️.

Have you tried leaving her to settle back to sleep for like 15/20 minutes? My little lad wakes after 30 minutes but if left to settle he will go back to sleep for an hour

no I will try xxx

The only issue is she wakes up early every morning , between 4-6am and goes to sleep early between 5-7pm and I can’t get her out of this I’m sure it’s because of the naps!

The early wake ups was an issue here too for a bit and I pushed bedtime later because my little one only needed like 10/11 hours sleep so a 7pm bedtime he was always gonna wake ealry in the morning. I pushed the first nap back later and then added an extra cat nap for about a week and then the new routine managed to click. But yeah with the short naps if she can settle herself to sleep I would leave her and see if she goes back to sleep

Yeah okay, what time is bedtime now xx

anywhere between 8:30 and 9 xx

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
