I’m exclusively pumping and feeding via bottles, during daytime our baby feeds every 2 hours around 120ml at 9 weeks old. I’d like the feeds to get less frequent ideally so wondering if she needs bigger milk volumes! What do other expressing Mums feeding schedules look like?

I do 120ml every 2-3 hours on demand for my 13 wk old. I was told by midwives that 120ml/4oz should be the most given at any one time (although formula recommendations go above that now so would be interested to know if anyone does increase). I don't make enough during the day to meet this demand so I have to pump once in the night to make sure I have enough. This way I'm not as stressed about my baby being hungry and not having a bottle for her; I always try to be pumping for a bottle or 2 ahead.

To add this also means its ok if I don't pump every 3 hours as I know exactly where I stand. So the nighttime pump sucks but it's working better for me this way.

Our girl is 13 weeks old. She has had really bad reflux since birth. I exclusively express too. We had issues with her weight to start with and were told by the hospital the general rule of thumb is 150ml per kilo of weight. So for example out girl is 6kg now so 6x150ml =900 ml over the whole day then divide that over her feeds for the day/night so she has 7 feeds a day which would be 128ml a feed but we would just round that to 130ml. Its just a rough guide though we dont follow it religiously. We follow her cues mostly and she is now sleeping through the night so generally want a feed every 2 hrs during the day.Hope that helps. I’m combi feeding and I’m giving more than 4oz of expressed breast milk in a feed - normally 5oz but sometimes my baby will take up to 7oz! I kept seeing it mentioned on here about not giving more than 4oz of breast milk in one feed which made no sense to me if you can give more than 4oz in formula. I queried this with my health visitor and she said it wasn’t a problem, if he’s hungry then he can have what he needs

I breastfeed / pump & in a bottle my baby is 11 weeks & gets 6oz she used to get 4oz but would cry once done so I up the oz & now she is content,
