So I’m pretty sure this is down to this dreaded sleep regression but my baby boy has been a terrible sleeper since birth. The main thing I’m struggling with is he won’t allow us to comfort him..if that makes any sense. He wakes up screaming in the cot we we will feed, bum change and attempt to rock him back to sleep but he honestly fits and fidgets to the point that I can’t keep hold of him. He cries in the cot, in our bed and in our arms..it’s relentless and I’ve no idea what he wants or how to fix it. Tonight he’s continuously screamed for 3 hours and we’ve honestly tried everything. I guarantee if we took him downstairs and put dancing fruit on the tv he’d suddenly be quiet and fine as he’s got his own way.. it feels like a huge fight against sleep and we’re just so drained. Any advice WELCOME xx

That sounds very frustrating and very hard to cope with.
Rather than endlessly trying to get him down, have you tried to let him play for a bit when he wakes up.
9 out of 10 times my LG will wake up, have a feed and go back down to sleep. Either in her cot or cosleeping as she doesn't always wants to go back to sleep in her cot. I don't see this as her getting her own way, because she is simply not capable of manipulating me that way. What she does need is comfort.
Anyways, sometimes she has a wake window where she is fighting sleep and is just awake. So we have some toys in our room and give them to her on the bed. This way, she can play and we will interact with her but also we can Still chill. We then just ride it out and wait for her sleep cues.

No advise but im in the same boat and fully understand. I ended up driving around the other night as only thing that makes her instantly sleep 😭😭😭
