So my LO is 4 months, we’re in the pits of the regression, so hard. I haven’t sleep all week. I’ve literally had 3 hrs combined. Hubby is on night shift at the moment so it’s just me on nights and when he gets home he showers and then hops into bed until 2:30pm, get up, is in the toilet for a fair while, eats lunch that I’ve made, while he watches his phone (continues to watch his phone for at least another hour), plays with our child for maybe half an hour- and then leaves for work at 4pm with food that I have made to take to work. He gets home at 6:30am. He does nothing around the house during the week unless I get up him, and even then it’s “I have to sleep so that I can work so that we have enough money” so most of the time I don’t bother because I’m too exhausted to argue about it.
I got angry at him this morning while he was on his way home because last night had been yet another sleepless night for me, our LO had literally had 3 hrs by 5am, I had not had any as during that time I attempted to pump and then do the folding (that has been on our floor for nearly a month waiting to be done) unfortunately because I’m so sleep deprived, my milk is practically gone.
I said “it’s not fair that you get to come home from your job and sleep and I have to continue, I’m also doing work and yet I’m the only one sleepless, you’re gonna come home and go to bed and I have to continue- I’m so sleep deprived I have no more milk for our child- I need some fucking sleep”
He got home and agreed that because it was a weekend and he didn’t have work tomorrow he would stay up and look after LO and wanted me to get at least 5 hrs. I’ve woken up 2 hrs later to crying coming from LO in the swing and hubby asleep on the couch. I’m so pissed. What makes his sleep more important than mine? I can’t feed our child if this continues, he knows this, yet he’s asleep anyway and has NEVER woken up for his crying, let alone me trying to physically wake him up. I don’t even want to bother trying to wake him but the rage is just boiling up in me at this point.
Am I overreacting because of the lack of sleep or do I have a right to be pissed?

You have every right X he needs to step up in my opinion! So sorry you're not getting the rest you deserve X will anyone else step in and let you get some shut eye? Sucks that it's affecting your milk too bless you XX you're doing incredible x

Sounds like he’s not fully viewing it from your perspective; the least he could do it help round the house and the fact he was asleep when the baby was in the swing is NOT good! I wonder if his job is actually working in all your favours. Things need to equal out as you can’t keep going on, I would tell him honestly how you feel. The rage is absolutely valid but don’t let it continue to eat into the situation xx
not for the next few days unfortunately. I went to my parents house on Monday night for some extra help and so I could finally have a shower for the first time in 3 days, but they aren’t able to help again until next Tuesday if I do ask

If he wants to act like a jack*ss tell him you’ll be hiring a night nanny and he’s paying :)
I like this idea

I’d definitely hire someone to help! If he isn’t interested in supporting you then he can pay for it out of his own pocket, but you can’t continue without help it’s not good for your health. I’ll be honest and I know it’s not helpful but Id rather separate and have less housework and one less child to look after!
