Nappy size??

What size nappies are everyone’s babas in?
My girl is 5 months next week, last weighed 16lbs 3oz 2 weeks ago, but she’s in size 4 nappies already.
I’ve seen a post on fb and a lot of people saying their toddlers are in size 4 and the pack says size 20lbs+.
She’s also in 6-9 clothes already but this is mainly her length

I’m confused does she just have a chunky belly and this will ease out when she starts crawling?? 🤣

She’s a little chubby but I don’t think she’s particularly big… pic of the chunk

She was only 7lbs 7 when she was born

Avatar

Cleo was 7.7lbs too! Maybe it’s a chubby curse lol

Avatar

Aww 🤗 yep maybe! Anyway I love the rolls 🤣😍

Avatar

I think she also looks a lot bigger cos I’m only 5”2 so I look like I’m holding a toddler 😭

Avatar

🤣 I'm 5ft 8 so she's just gonna be big like me

My baby’s now in 12-18 month clothing and wearing size 5 nappies, Honestly just go with what fits best, he was 19lbs 8 when he was last weigh about 3 weeks ago, he’s almost 5 months xx

Avatar

She will stretch and be same size 4 diapers again . Every baby different and not all baby’s are built same . Nothing to be concern . She just bueatiful btw

Avatar

Some size 3 nappies say 13lb -22lb 🤷‍♀️

Avatar

I was thinking this when she starts crawling and burns a bit of weight i assumed she’ll slim right down into them again

Avatar

I never know what nappies mean what tbh I’ve seen that they do pull ups for her size so it’s so confusing

Avatar

yeah they stretch so my baby was chunky monkey . He was in size 5 diapers at 6 months as he got older he skimmed down “he stretched” “grew” and now he is 3 years old in size 5 diapers agian . So we were at size 5 then went back to 4 when he was 1 1/2 and then at 2 1/2 we went back to size 5

My LB has just turned 5 months and is in size 5 nappies, he’s nearing on 24lbs and in 9-12 clothing too. He’s really long at 73cm and is a stocky baby but not particularly chunky. I would say it’s normal, every baby is different x

I don't understand nappy sizes at all! My boy is 4 months and in size 4. He's not even big (weighs 12lbs) but is long so don't know it that makes a difference.

We sized up as he was leaking and blowing out of every nappy and getting pressure marks from the size 3s. According to the packaging of the size 4s he's nowhere near them yet but he'd definitely outgrown 3s!

Avatar

they are weird sizing! We just go with, when we starts having to many leaks/blow outs we go up a size 🤷‍♀️

Avatar

My little girl is 5 months old today and in size 2 weighing 14lb 8oz 2 weeks ago and I feel she could could go next size up now for comfort x

Avatar

She’s also long lol x

Avatar

yeah same that's what we do but then I see toddlers in the same size and think I must have got this wrong 😂

Avatar

My 4 month old weighs 16lbs and is also in size 4 nappies

Avatar

why can’t nappies be the same sizing as clothes 🤣

Avatar

there's gotta be a better way 🤣

My boy is 20 weeks. Born 9lb 7 and now weighs around 18lb. I’m 5ft 9, husband 6ft 2 so we have a long baby however he’s in size 3 nappies (pampers). Other brands he would be in size 4s.

My boy is 5 months old on the 14th, he still fits in size 3 nappies but they’re getting a little tighter and he’s leaking a lot so when this pack is finished we’re going to size 4! Also think he’ll be in 6-9 in a few more weeks. He isn’t long enough for the baby grows with feet yet but 3-6 are getting a little tight round his middle haha he’s chunky but short xx

Avatar

My lb isn't 5 months until 19th and he's nearly out sized size 5 nappies. My 2.5 year old is in size 6 for bed times. It's definitely the baby belly that's so big.

My LG is 4.5 months her weight is within range but dr called her petite. She is in size 3 nappies theyre a bit big but size 2 are too small
So I think size 4 nappies for your LO is about right, healthy little cutie pie

Mine is 16 months and in size 6 nappies 🤣

Baby clothes

Just out of curiosity, why do parents love zipper onesies?

Don’t get me wrong, I tried zipper ones it’s easy to zip in and out when putting it on the first time and taking it out, but I find it difficult when changing diapers especially when baby is asleep.

I prefer those kimono style buttons where it’s easy to button or too down button with crotch snaps.

Is everyone thinking the same or different? Lol

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅
