Hi!
I’m about to have my second c-section. I already have a very energetic toddler at home and looking for anything that can provide any extra support and aid healing/pain. I’ve heard a few people mention belly binders/wraps to help, just wondering if anyone has any good insight whether or not these would be beneficial. And if so, could recommend some :)
Thanks 💕

I was told by my midwife and obstetrician not to bother. It can make your core lazier as you aren’t making the muscles do the work and it doesn’t create any miracle Snapback like most claim. Also, the wound needs air to heal so covering your core up can get sweaty and humid.
It might help with back pain but personally I never felt the need for the support once I was up and moving xx

For me, at least with the binder I used which was the one the hospital provided, it actually caused me more pain wearing it so I didn’t use one once I was discharged.

I posted out for advice about this and was informed that they aren’t recommended. I’m going to talk to my midwife tomorrow at final appointment

Mom Cozy 3-1 was my life saver! Has the initial abdominal brace you put on at four weeks then the back brace at 6 and the hip brace at 6/8. I still wear my back brace bc my baby boy is getting heavy and he only naps on walks in a carrier sooo my back thanks me for giving it support/ has also given me incredible posture.
