Mucus plug

I’m 39+6 today - anyone else losing their mucus plug gradually rather than one big glob. Does this mean baby is about to make an appearance? I have cramps and back pain but no regular contractions or waters breaking.

i’ve been losing mine every day for the last 3 days.. first time was a huge blob i thought that was it but now it just keeps coming sorry tmi lol. i really hope so, 39+5 today! thought baby would’ve been here over the weekend x

Not necessarily, for some women it comes out weeks before labour but your body is constantly making mucus so it will just fill up again to stop anything entering the cervix. For others it comes away gradually over the course of few weeks but doesn’t mean labour is near although some women might loose theirs and labour can happen a few hours or days later and for some not. I lost mine maybe like a week ago but don’t think my body is ready to go into labour so id assume its just created another mucus plug. I think it’s just different for each women although its a good sign that your body is getting ready though! X

38 weeks today and been loosing mine in bits for about a week. Today larger amount come out.
Can still mean labour is days - weeks away 😞

I’m 36+5 and I’m pretty sure I lost some last night after I went for a wee. Sounds like everyone has their own niche experience!

Been losing mine since yesterday morning, and was having regular contractions, went to the hospital and they said i hadn’t started dilating; been having contractions and pain since but no sign of baby yet 😭 feeling very drained!! Hopefully not long now as I’ll be 40 weeks tomorrow xx

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
