I’m 36 weeks and baby has been measuring big. 7.5 pounds at the min. They are strongly recommending section at 39 weeks. They said even with an induction at 39 weeks it would still be too big. Or they said I can go naturally if I want but risks involved. I really want a natural labour and am really disappointed about it. I don’t know what to do. Anyone any advice?

I was told the exact same and went for an elective c section to be on the safe side. I'm so glad I did because I had the best experience, it was such a calming environment x

I feel like you won’t regret trying for a natural birth. Even if you wind up with a c-section you won’t regret trying—I can’t speak to how much better a vaginally birth is compared to a planned c section compared to an emergency c-section but I think the c-sections are in their own category

Did you end up having the C-section
No I looked into it and decided I would wait and go natural. Could tell the consultants didn’t agree with me but I spoke to a couple of midwives and they told me to do what I want and not be pressured by consultants as they like to push for sections. So still pregnant lol

Measurement can be off my bub was expected to be 10lb + and came out 7lb11 however I did have a c-section but that was due to medical reasons. There is absolutely no reason why you can’t birth a big baby naturally ❤️
