Nursery sickness - rant

I'm so frustrated! Every week my LO goes to nursery, he's basically off the next ill! I stick to the rules (e.g. keep him off for 48h is sick) but I feel like saying f*** it and sending him in as clearly other people are or he wouldn't constantly be blooming ill! Just ugh!!! Sorry I needed a rant.

I work in a nursery, it’s so easy for bugs to spread even when they do keep on top of cleaning!
I’ll be honest there are so many parents that do send the children back in poorly and it’s annoying and nurseries really do appreciate the parents that keep their children off if they are contagious.
Also being a parent that has her child in a nursery, I totally get how you feel, nursery is not cheap and for them to be off so much is frustrating!
Most nurseries are 24 hours for sickness or diarrhoea and 48 hours if it’s both xx

I don't blame the nursery at all. I don't even blame the other parents as I get it. I'm supposed to be back at work for my 1st day back with my SEN class tomorrow. My kid was sick today. He seemed fine after so I'm now having to decide if I send him in or leave my class with no cover. And pay for ANOTHER day he doesn't go.

If he’s been totally fine since and keeping food down then send him in!

I think if he's not sick in the night I will. Thanks. Just getting so blooming hard juggling covering him being off and having my class.

I can imagine, especially with a SEN class, it’s not like just anyone can cover you!

Mines the same hand foot and mouth twice

They are building their immune system. It won’t be like this forever. My lo started at 6 months. 2 days a week. It felt relentless at the time. Now she is never off. Took about 6 months. I’ve never sent my daughter in poorly, as my husband wfh so he muddles through. I do understand why others have too though x

i really want another baby

i am merely a few months pp but i want another baby, but i am scared of the age gap (2 under 2) and also with everything going on in the world i just think its not the best idea at the moment but i am having crazy baby fever and miss having a newborn🥹

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

20week scan!!

i had my 20week scan yesterday, everything looked okay on baby and we found out the gender!! it’s a girl 🩷🩷. but they said that my placenta is too close to my pelvis and they need to do extra scans to check on it? has anyone else been told this?

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?
