I’m currently in hospital being induced. I’ve had the initially monitoring done and the pessary went in at 16:55. It’s the 24 hour one. So far I’ve had period like cramps and the initial check and insertion of the pessary was uncomfortable but not unbearable. Baby went a little nuts moving following it but they have settled. Just having the odd tightness and pressure which feels like a pulling sensation which they have said are all good signs. So far I’ve not needed any pain relief. You will be absolutely great we have got this. Feel free to message me xx

I’m in the exact same position🙈 40+3 had the midwife yesterday and she sent me to hospital for reduced movements and they kept me in to be induced due to high blood pressure now I’m absolutely bricking it

I’m due to be induced early due to Gestational Diabetes. I’m
Not looking forward to it but from what time I’ve had to mentally prepare it’s just really make yourself feel home from home. Take what you need to try and relax, music, food, books, ball and things to kill time.
Advice I was given from a few mums is if the early inducing techniques dont work and you end up needing the final drip after no sleep or days, take epidural too! I was dead against an epidural as I wanted ‘natural’, but the drip will make the intensity much stronger so give yourself a break and some rest by having a epidural. This way you will have the option to click it when you want more pain relief or not click at all.
By then you could be exhausted so see it as a bit of TLC if
Anything else
Baby will be in your arms soon 🥰

I had the oxytocin drip and epidural. I recommend they definitely helped ☺️ good luck
