Every night I have the same crying I've tried everything I'm at a point wherey mental health I suffer with ppd has taken aassive nosedive and I honestly don't know why she cries like this. My son who helps out picked her up and she immediately stopped crying he sat down she started crying again. I'm aty wits end it's literally the same every night. And I feel completely helpless someone please tell me I'm not the only one going through this episode of crying.

Hang in there mama! It will get better. Those first few months are rough but she will settle down eventually! I'm sorry I can't offer more than this but stay strong. And definitely take breaks if you need to. Put her down safely and get 5 minutes to yourself to breathe or whatever it is you need to do. Xx

I think it must be a digestive issue with the poor baby. When their tummies hurt, they hate to be on their backs. This happens to my son, too (also 4 months old). We usually put him into the Tiger on the Tree pose and that usually helps him settle. Or else we put him on our lap facing forward and hold him under his thighs, gently rocking him- this also helps.
You could also show her to a pediatrician, just in case there is a more severe underlying cause.

we try not to overstimulate her after a certain time. I have a baby sling but she hates it. She's finally gone off to sleep worm herself out from crying. We know she has a little bit of separation anxiety, were currently battling through that aswell. she's got hv Wednesday so I'm going to show them the video and see what they suggest. Thank you for your advice ladies I really do appreciate it xx

Big bear hugs š

Iāve been battling this for past 4 months, totally understand you . Got to a point where I couldnāt leave the house,he would cry if held ,sat down,in his pram all was the fault of silent reflux. I can see she is rubbing her ear,Iāll suggest getting her checked at GP ,if her ears ar clear ,maybe check for teething. Also notice other symptoms associated with the screaming . Note what time they start ,is it just after feeding,is she clenching her fist or bringing legs up while doing it , is it only when she is laying down (try putting her on a 30 degree angle like on a pillow and see if you get the same reaction) ,is it the same if she had a dirty nappy that day or not , check temperature in case she feels to hold or cold .
Also notice if she is more gassy then usual,if maybe brings up a little milk or not after feeds or just burping more ,try and put her on her tummy and see if you get same reaction. I had to go through all this with help of HV and GP to get the silent reflux diagnosis

Aww Iām so sorry momma it sounds like sheās in pain has she gone to the doctors my son would always get ear infections and I knew he had one when he would tug in his ear just like your baby is she might have a ear infection

That is definitely a discomfort cry like she is in pain, did you change her formula recently or are you BF ? You can message me anytime if you got any questions xx ā¤ļø

Have you tried gripe water? This stuff saved my sanity. My baby girl did the same thing, still does occasionally then I give her gripe water and withing 30 mins she's releasing gas and calming down

My baby was like this too and it got so much easier around 6 months and stopped at 7 months. He had colic and GERD. The doctor gave him medicine for the GERD and it helped a lot. It wonāt last long hang in there! Youāre doing great!

I know mama my son was the same way as a baby itās so tough. So many trial errors of like does he was bottle/breastfeed/be held / not held / etc⦠I felt like I was spinning my wheels constantly. Maybe itās colic? I never got him confirmed but I believe he had it because the crying was so intense sometimes. I felt like I couldnāt get through to him. Hang in there praying for you

Thank you so much for all your comments, I didn't think it was anything to worry about but silent reflux sounds like a issue she settled for a while last night I put her on her tummy then rubbed her tummy and she seemed to calm down for 5, I will definitely be having a chat with go and hv to find out her ears were checked just before Xmas as she was tugging in them they said they were a bit red but nothing to worry about. It's 414am he's just woke for a bottle had a whinge and luckily has gone straight back to sleep xx

Likely overtired. She wants to be carried over the shoulder do that till she sleeps. Lay her on her stomach on a FLAT bed, be awake so you can check on her then turn her on her back after she is in deep sleep, then you can sleep

she hates being in her belly too long she wouldn't fall asleep like that. She's got hv tomorrow so going to have a chat with them. Thank you for your advice though. Much appreciated x

Can you put her in a sling? Thatās the only thing I can do and means I have 2 hands to prepare feeds but not all babies like it

I've tried the sling she doesn't like it. I've got a baby carrier which I do use sometimes but atm it kills my back pregnancy absolutely kicked and ruined my whole back so I have sciatica pretty much everyday. I find she likes to be held and like bounced and swaying.

Sounds like it could be a reflux issue.
My son had reflux for the first year, and as a new born he would never sleep or be comfortable unless in an upright position.
When reflux babies are laid down, they experience the reflux discomfort!

Could be a milk allergy/digestive issue. My youngest was like this from the moment he was born and at 6 weeks was diagnosed with a milk allergy and once he was put on the right formula settled (has to be prescribed)within a week.

My boy did this and the only thing that worked was putting him in a harness and going for a walk outside. Honestly, it helped me being out in the fresh air and expelling some physical tension too. Good luck. This too shall pass

I was thinking the same thing. It seems sheās tugging at her ears. Which could indicate an ear infection. Would also make sense why she stopped crying when she was picked up. Laying down can cause more pressure in the ear because it can back up drainage

we took her to the GP today no ear infection I explained the crying and showed the video and theyve said colic but I thought babies grow out of colic by 3 months old. So I'm a little confused. She's seeing the hv tomorrow so I will ask for a second opinion as I'm completely lost on what it could be. And I certainly don't want my baby in any sort of pain. It's very distressing to see her like this every night x

Yes this is me I absolutely hate the evenings cos my lb is so unsettled. Hopefully won't last too long š©

Have you tried gripe water? I remember mine crying like this for seemingly no reason. Gripe water was a miracle. They grew out of it after not too long..

done gripe water again last night as she calmed down quite a bit so I'm going to stick to it and see how we get on

Could she be teething? I know pulling at ears can be a sign of teething, my little one has been doing it recently and Iāve had to give him calpol at least once a day, also washing my hands and massaging his gums with my finger and he sometimes instantly stops crying x x
