Double buggy or buggy board?

Little man is currently 20 months old and expecting a sister next month.

Anyone in/had similar situation that can advise if I should do a double buggy or buggy board?

Dread the idea of a double buggy as they seem like a nightmare to get in the car and out and about shops etc but if anyone has recommendations as it seems like the most sane option!

Worry with a buggy board little man too young he won’t understand he needs to stay on.

Also will likely be having another c section so don’t want to rely on baby carrying as may not be an option for a while!

Hello! I have two boys and the eldest was 20 months when baby was born. We got a Out and About double buggy and we definitely used it a lot. It was bulky in boot of car but pretty easy to fold and really good to manoeuvre round shops etc. then once the eldest was bigger we transitioned to a buggy board which is brilliant. Now he’s 3 and a bit and we still use it after nursery when he’s really tired. I can’t imagine using it when he’s 20 months though. They are just big babies really!

Defo double buggy, I had my fears with getting one but honestly its the best thing, my LO's are 19 and 4 months, I use the joie aire double pram and its great. Its wide (obviously) but quite flat when folded so its great for the car and for holidays. Check facebook marketplace, I got one for £40

We’ve got a 2 month old and a 20 month old. We didn’t bother getting a double buggy, just relied on using the baby wrap for our 2 month old and our bigger boy uses his push along tricycle. I also had a c section but the wrap really takes the weight off.

I'm due in 2 months and have a 19 month old. We've gone for the out and about double buggy after lots of recommendations, managed to get a decent second hand one 🥰

Can I ask, to those of you with an out & about, do the seats go fairly upright? My toddler is nosy and doesn’t like to be too reclined!

I also have a 20 month old and he will be getting a little brother in 2 days. We have the icandy pram and have bought the attachments to add another seat in front. This way, hopefully it won’t be too wide to fit through doors etc.

hi yeah they do go upright

yeah they manoeuvre so well. I found it easy to push about and great over bumpy terrain.

Definitely a double buggy, I would say he's too young for a buggy board xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰
