Woke up in the night to the worst cramp in my calf… experienced cramps before but this was next level. Im struggling to walk today ha. Read it’s quite common in the third trimester?! The pain was so intense it’s made me question if I’ll even be able to cope with labour!! 🥴

Yep I got a bunch of those. Be cautious if you get them frequently because I did and my potassium was low! Drink lots of electrolytes like Gatorade or body armor

Eat a banana before bed, and if you like it, drink a small glass of tonic water!
Leg cramps are the worst!

I’ve only had it once in this pregnancy so far but had it several times in my first. It was so bad! The only thing that stop mine quickly is to stand up quickly. X

Iron tablets
And red meat
Plus don’t eat any salt foods
I use to get them really bad would cry and scream
But doing all these things really helped from having them twice a night then morning where I couldn’t walk to now I might get them 1 or twice a week
It’s not daily which is so good
Example I went to movies the other day I had a small popcorn and literally putting down the recliner my leg cramped because of the salt was very saw

I had them sooo bad in my first pregnancy. None yet thankfully. I always stretched my legs before bed and they seemed to help

Yep those cramps are a bitch. Felt like a had a ball in my calf for a week afterwards. Lots of leg and foot stretching and I’ve started taking a daily magnesium supplement aswell. Don’t know if it’s helping but not had any since I have been doing these things

😂 I get them twice a week. I'm on iron supplements. I started Practicing labor breathing techniques and pinching myself to distract from the calf pain. They're the worst

Charlie Horses are killer! I had them super bad with my first baby due to low iron.
The first time I got them with this baby…. It was in both legs AT THE SAME TIME, 2 in the morning 🤦🏼♀️ it was a definite struggle and still is when I get them, thank fully it’s not almost every night like it was my son haha.
I normally raise my leg in the air and start massaging my calf… it’s what my mom used to do for me when I would get them (even before pregnancy) and it seems to help a bit.

As soon as you feel you're about to cramp put your heel down and toes up xx

I have started getting Charlie horses/leg cramps recently too! Mine typically happen after I've been laying on my back for a while. I mainly get them in the morning or if I fall asleep on the couch and try to get up, but it always seems to be when I lay on my back, not my side. I try to only sleep on my side but in the mornings, I'm usually on my back for a bit to try to wake up haha.
