I am 6wks today and just had to tell my supervisor at work I'm pregnant as we have a visit tomorrow that may be around dangerous chemicals. I only told her as I wasn't sure if I would be allowed to go as I'm pregnant but apparently it will be safe to do so. I didn't want to tell them this early and now I'm all anxious about it and worried that I've had to mention it already.
Has anyone else had to tell their work already?

Im just over 6 weeks. I notified my upline last week, I do have a good relationship with her so it was easier in that sense. However, my thought was more incase anything bad were to happen I don't need to try to explain it all. I ended up down A&E last night now waiting on an early scan ap for Thursday which is during work hours.
Hopefully, your work is understanding, and obviously, you don't want anyone else to know at this point. I'd try not to worry about it (easier said than done though I know) x

You did the right thing as you wouldn't want to compromise the pregnancy or do anything that would make you worry. I understand the anxiety surrounding telling people early though. I told my work with my first early due to the nature of my job. I'm on maternity leave now and won't be telling them until I'm past 12 weeks just because I don't need them to know. There is no right or wrong though! X

I told my manager at 4-5 weeks, I wanted the peace of mind in case my symptoms suddenly get really bad and I can’t go to the office or even work, it definitely felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders after telling her.

I have told my work today 4w & 6d as I’m a chef and i need a risk assessment to be able to make sure me & baby are safe. I was also meant to be signing up for a training course which I will no longer be able to do due to maternity leave so they needed to know.
I would have tried to wait until after my early scan (7w 4d) if I could though 😊
