Good morning my LO is soon to start nursery and is gonna eat there lunch time almost everyday , it’s my first son and usually lunch time he has pasta or rice with veggies and meat or veggies and fish, and then fruits , but packing pasta or rice for lunch might get cold in meantime so I wonder what do you usually pack for lunchtime for your LO? Thank you

You could get a thermo pot where it keeps the food warm for them? As an idea x

I struggle because my son is a bit of a picky eater and doesn't eat unless he wants exactly what you've given him, so I tend to send a range of things.
Today it's leftover macaroni from dinner last night (cold), cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes (quartered), a sunflower seed butter (nut free setting so no peanut butter allowed) and honey sandwich on wholemeal bread, a mandarin (segmented) and some watermelon wedges. I also add in some snacks like Organix mini gingerbread men because I know he'll eat them if he refuses everything else.
It sounds like a lot for one 18mo for one meal, but honestly I'd rather pack it all and know he's got options than pack one or two bits and have him come home hungry. I can always eat the leftovers for tea!
