This might be a really silly question but I'm new to formula feeding after EBF. I'm currently giving 120ml bottles but LO never eats that much, when the bottle is made up it is always over 120ml, I know this is because of the formula increasing the volume. When I want to see how much she's taken, do I go by how much is left in the bottle from 120ml or how much is left by using how much was showing in the bottle at the start which is over 120ml?
No idea if that question makes sense to anyone as it's hard to word it!!

I totally get what you mean. I make a 5oz bottle for my little one but when it’s made it’s 5.5oz
If she leaves 2oz, I say she’s drank 3.5 if that makes sense. I could be wrong though!
Apparently nutrition wise, even though I made 5oz but it showing as 5.5 it is still 5oz nutritionally xx
Yes that makes sense! Thank you x

I always go by what was meant to be in there so if I made a 5oz bottle and it shows 2oz left I say he's had 3oz even though it goes up to more than 5oz when it's got forumla in it. I don't know if it's right but I don't focus too much about how much he is having as he is gaining weight fine and has no feeding concerns
