Sleep routines

Hi everyone, just wondering what your little ones sleep routines are such as bed time and nap times?
I feel like I’m in a bit of a loosing battle… lg hasn’t slept in her cot since having 1 year injections… I am now just about getting her to sleep in her cot for naps but she will only sleep 30 mins max in there when usually she would have 1-1.5 hour nap, so im having to pull her out and put her in my bed for the rest of her nap if not she will be over tired and constantly crying. When she wakes up in her cot she is straight up looking around for me or my partner and starts screaming… whether we are in the room or not. (She also does this in our bed but didnt used to)

For bed time she sleeps in our bed but I’ve been putting her in her cot to start with but she just stands up in the cot screaming until I pull her out I’ve tried all different tactics and she doesn’t settle as easy in there at night as what she does during the day for a nap. she used to go to bed at 8pm and sleep through till 8am (maybe wake for a bottle) but now if I put her to bed at 8 or even earlier she will sleep until 10pm then she wants to get up and play… the thing is she gets tired at 7/8 and wants to sleep but still wakes up at 9/10pm
I feel like she’s got some attachment issues but isn’t just attached to me or my partner I think it’s just having someone there as she stays at grandparents once a month and she’s fine without us being there….

Hopefully this all makes sense?
Im just wondering if anyone else has been through the same or similar and if anyone has any advice? It would be much appreciated 😊

When we put our daughter down for a nap we leave the room, shes also on a floor bed for context. She tends to get up and go to her door which we then go in and lay her back down etc, and leave again. She then goes to sleep on her own, and we’ve noticed she wakes better (less crying and screaming) from a nap if she did not fall asleep knowing we were right beside her. Same applies for bedtime and we have a pretty solid routine and have some for months now and don’t have any issues anymore. She might be waking up hysterically because you’re no longer with her?
I hope this helps x

You’re not alone. We’re going through a really clingy stage. I thought we were coming out of it but it’s come back with a vengeance! My LG will constantly look for me even though she tired and about to fall asleep. So I will have to pick her up several times to reassure her and put her back down again. I’m persisting with putting her down in her cot for her to fall asleep herself but will stay with her and keep telling her it’s ok and I’m here it’s safe. If she cries and puts her arm out to her held , I’ll hold her and cuddle for a minute and put her down again… il probably have to do this 3-5 times before she’ll fall asleep. Hopefully she’ll get the idea soon and will be able to self settle without me in the room but for now I’m going to stay with her until she’s able to x

Thank you both for your comments, I’m glad I’m not alone 😅 I will defiantly give your ideas a go and hopefully something works out and hopefully we get a solid routine in place soon!x

My boy was literally falling asleep standing up (whilst screaming in his cot) because he doesn’t even want to lie down in his cot anymore. It’s only been the last couple of weeks this has started to happen but i think it may be a regression but it’s so hard. He will only settle in our bed

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
