Hello ladies
My little boy is going through the horrible smacking stage🤦🏽♀️ he doesn’t smack other children it’s just adults!! Sometimes he does it out of excitement and I have to tell him gentle hands but now when he gets angry or frustrated he will literally gauge at my face and smack!!
I honestly don’t no what to do I’ve tried everything he’s going to be starting nursery in September and I wouldn’t want him doing this to his teachers!🤦🏽♀️

We've just hit this stage too! We are doing similar to you, saying kind hands and if he continues we move ourselves away and say no/ wont let you hurt me. So frustrating for us and them i bet. Hopefully others have some tips!

Same, I just say no snacking isn’t nice and I move him away from me until we can have a cuddle and a kiss! Hoping it’s a short lived phase 🤦🏻♀️😵💫

Same we just say, we have kind and gentle hands and if he continues we just say I cant let you hurt me and move him away from me until he can be nice and cuddle properly. Its just a phase and I remember it with my 1st x

I’m glad I’m not the only one lol! Hopefully it is just a phase ladies! I do try to move away from him and tell him no it’s not nice but he will keep smacking me until I pick him up🤦🏽♀️ I’m thinking of maybe starting time out because he just doesn’t seem to understand the word no🤦🏽♀️😂x

My sons going through the same thing except add biting to the mix 😭😭 i just use repetitive corrective measures so if he continuously smacks or bites I take him away and isolate him (put him in the corner) and say no hitting/biting is wrong. If he hits I also grab his hand and say "gentle" and then teach him what a gentle touch is. Last night he bit me and i was like awww thank you!!! Thats such a nice kiss! He then proceeded to stop biting and actually kissing. 😭 I hope it goes away completely though.
