Anyone else’s toddler still drinking a few bottles during the day? Our pediatrician never had an issue with us giving a bottle and said my daughter would eventually grow out of if. She drinks goat milk formula meant for toddlers but I also give her water throughout the day and meals. Just curious what you’re all doing?

Once I got my son into the Nuk soft tip sippy cups we eliminated bottles to avoid teeth issues. He gets 1 to 2 sometimes three 5 Oz whole milk cups a day

We switched to straw sippy at 12 months
I’ll have to try that! I’ve always just given her the bottles she’s had since she was a baby 😅 but now she’s biting holes in all the tops.

Yeah she might not be getting the right flow for her if they are still infant bottles. The nuk soft tip bottles are great for transitioning out of the baby bottles and then try getting her into the straw cups. The weighted straw Munchkin cups are what my son uses for juice and water. And sports straw cups as well as Munchkin 360 cups.
when you do give milk, do you put it in the Nuk sippy cups?

Yes most of the time. Sometimes I've done the 360 cups and only once in the straw cups.

i’d switch to a sippy asap. bottles aren’t good for their oral development after 12m

You are NOT alone!
It took our son longer to make the switch, mostly because he would fill his mouth so full with water and spit it out all over.
He drinks water from a sippy cup now, but we do still give him warm whole milk at night in a bottle and sometimes for his mid-day nap. He got his teeth super early, they haven’t been affected by the 1-2 times a day he uses the bottle with milk. We are trying to wean him from the use of a bottle period, as he will have a baby sister here in a couple weeks and we really don’t want him trying to steal her bottles. 😅 We tried lots of different sippy cups, the Munchkin 360 ones are his favorite. We pretend drank from them to show him this is what we do as a big boy.
love this, thank you so much for the encouraging words! Yeah honestly I’ve only been giving her a little in the morning and then at her 1 nap + bedtime but I could probably cut the morning one down if needed or even switch it to a different container. She’s a pretty good drinker from a straw cup (loves the honey bear shaped ones you can find on Amazon and even my Stanley lol). She also got her teeth very early. Omg and same boat, she will have a baby brother in a few weeks as well which kind of got me thinking about this (and the fact that she keeps biting holes in the tops when bored lol).

Mine drinks cow's milk almost every day. We switched to toddler bottles with straws rather than baby bottles with nipples. I'm not sure if you're more curious about what they're drinking or what they're drinking out of. But I've heard baby bottles are bad for their teeth at a certain point (not sure if that's true). I like that my son can drink on his own out of most of his bottles. So that was another benefit of switching.
