My LO started nursery this week. At home she is a really good eater, and self feeds most food with her hands. It is messy but she eats a lot and I’m comfortable she isn’t over feeding. The nursery say they encourage BLW, but in reality they seem to be spoon feeding her and occasionally offering her a loaded spoon which she throws on the floor. She comes home completely clean so she isn’t being given a chance to feed herself. I’ve tried to speak to them about it without much luck so far, they keep saying they offer her spoons.
I don’t want her to become reliant on being spoon fed as she is so good at eating independently meaning we can all enjoy a meal together.
Am I being unreasonable to ask the nursery (again) to give her the chance to feed herself without spoons?

Absolutely not unreasonable. I'm trying to teach my LB how to feed himself and use spoons and this is my worry that when he starts nursery that this may not be followed in the same way. You are well within your right to push back on this!
