My daughter has curly hair but in the back it’s very coarse and dry. Anyone know what I can do or is it just where she’s sleeping? I put in leave in curl cream after washing and have ordered a little bonnet that may help.

My daughter also has hair like this and yes the back part is probably dry from where she sleeps. We also got a little silk bonnet but she didn't like it so we switched her sheets and pillowcases to silk ones. This has helped a lot with the frizz. We only wash our daughter's hair once a week. Every day I spray her hair with water till damp and put a tiny bit of leave-in conditioner and curl activator in her hair. This just helps bring her curls back to life.
I found this blog to be very helpful in understanding her hair type and in looking for products. My daughter is 18-month-old now so I do use all the products suggested. I only used shea moisture kids in the beginning though as that was what we had on hand.

I only found one product that worked on both of my girls hair types (dramatically different) and it is Miss Jessie’s multicultural curls… that being said anyone local that ever wants to experiment with products is welcome to come over😂 I have tried thousands of dollars in products over 8 years and 3 kids

How old is she? Bonnets are a suffocation risk under 3yrs old. The back is just from sleeping, rubbing on pram, car seat etc. U dont need to do anything, it will grow back
