Baby girl did her first science lesson! 👩🏼🔬
We did coloured Pom Pom sorting and mixing coloured water today. Super easy, but just hoping diluted food colouring washes out of socks 🤣

aww thank you!
I don’t recommend doing this if you live in rented accommodation 🤦🏼♀️
Had to wipe the walls down!

this is the first time with food dye in water but started when she was about 1. She started nursery at 11.5m and was joining in with messy play from then onwards. She loves sorting things and moving things around like pasta shapes and Pom Poms. We have lots of chunky things like peg dolls and wooden animals which she’s more dexterous with, lots of little hand friendly stuff. I find a lot in our little bargain tk maxx, mini silicon utensils and stuff x

I get lots of ideas of things like her nursery app has play ideas to complement what they do in class, insta, Reddit, YouTube.
Lots of ideas like blending cereal for sand (safari and dinosaurs), adding cocoa powder for dirt (bugs and diggers), cornstarch for weird textures, oil and flour for snow.
We collect things as well: colourful striped paper straws from Pret, colourful shredded packaging from orders, sticks and pinecones.
I’ve also found free flash cards and stuff that I’ve laminated at work (shhhhh).
