hi all,
i'm pregnant with my second baby and have just received a letter stating i have an appointment with the obstetrics service team in a few weeks when i will be around 15 weeks.
i have just had my bloods to test for down's syndrome etc and have my first 12 weeks scan next week. i already had a midwife appointment booked for the week after this new appointment. it's also in an area of the hospital i have not been to before. i didn't have an extra appointment at this stage with my first.
am i spiralling and over thinking it or should i be worried?

hi, i’m also pregnant with my second and can only base this on my own experience as i know different nhs trusts do things differently! i had an extra appointment with this same team due having a c section with my first. it was a chat through how that went and what my plans were for this new pregnancy e.g., vbac/level of risk etc. it may be that? in my experience both times i’ve had testing results back quickly (i was told a letter in a weekish or a phone call if any concerns) but i don’t think they would book an appointment that far in advance if it was about the results of that? but i’m honestly not sure. you could ring the hospital and i’m sure they would be able to say what the appointment entails, i think that’s what i would do. hope it all goes well x
you have given me so much release, i had a c-section with my first and they had mentioned an appointment to talk about it this time around i just assumed it would be much later on, thank you so much for giving me some reassurance. i will call in the morning to check

I had my second baby 9 weeks ago, I had an early appointment for the same reasons above. Emergency C section with April baby, and pregnant 11 months later.
