I need advice how do you loose weight when breastfeeding... I have less than 10 months till I get married and am in the worst shape. I want to workout so I can start shifting the weight but can't because I'm breastfeeding and baby is always with me. To add to it I also have a 3 year old. And a puppy so life is busy. Best time to go is during the day but I have noone to watch baby then.

Can you do home workouts when baby is napping? There’s no reason you can’t work out if your breastfeeding

I would find a gym you can bring your babies with you or maybe invest in some equipment for home!

I took my baby on hikes. Highly recommend. I firmly believe that I bounced back so quickly because I was breastfeeding and spending just 30 minutes a day doing either a hilly hike or walk around the neighborhood. Good luck!

Do you have a sling/ carrier? I think I lost all of my weight just lugging my LO around in the carrier whilst walking our very energetic dog!

I lost weight by walking and using a weighted hula hoop, eating relatively good and upping water intake xx

Get a pair of weights and do workout videos on YouTube while the baby is asleep and have the 3 year old join you maybe

Walking/hiking with baby in stroller or strapped in. Be careful with running, your ligaments and joints may still be recovering from pregnancy. It’s annoyingly true that (power) walking is great exercise. But weights help ‘eat’ fat even in down time. So squats, planks, push ups, some weights (available on Amazon!) for your arms and you could go a really long way if you can’t get out regularly to the gym. If your partner works regular hours, perhaps you can go on the weekend?

Oh dang too bad u don’t leave near we have a gym here with daycare it persuades u to actually go workout

oooh I do yeah, I've not used it out because it's so cold! But I used to do load walking with my older one in it in the summer so might have to try it 😊

great idea, I have a weighted hula hoop in the shed I haven't used for years!

he's at nursery so isn't a problem. I just didn't think home workouts would be enough to lose the weight in time. I'm so used to being very fit at the gym.

yeah but it's working out with a baby at the gym, I don't know any gyms you can take them too and I wouldn't feel comfortable breastfeeding in such a male environment.

I m 3 months pp and I put my EBF baby in his baby gym so I can have a bit of time to do some exercise at home. With 15 minuts a day every day it shall help you to fit. Sometimes I struggle to do it all in once so I make 2 sesions of 7 or 8 minuts.
It's not easy but it s the best I can give at the moment. I hope it helps for you.

I joined Slimming World recently they have a program for breastfeeding mums

GetMomStrong! It's specifically for postpartum bodies and busy mom life

Check out the 2b mindset. I've been breastfeeding for years and until i started changing my diet and drinking Hella water, I started losing weight. Exercise doesn't help you lose weight. It actually makes you gain

is there a reason why the baby would have to be with you? On the one hand, can your partner watch the baby if your preference is to go to the gym? On the other hand, a lot of floor exercises can be absolutely excruciating 😬 and done at home instead.

The Sweat app and the Alive app both have postpartum and at home workouts. I’ve used both apps prior to being pregnant and am currently using the Alive app for pregnancy workouts. They’re both great but personally I found I had better results with Alive prior to being pregnant.

Pregnancy and postpartum TV workouts on YouTube. Also look into postpartum bodyweight workouts. You don't need to use equipment to get a good workout 💪

If you have a Fit4Mom group in your area, that might be an option. The classes are great workouts and you can bring the littles with you in a stroller. Plus it’s a great way to meet other moms! https://fit4mom.com/

I do Zumba and my mat workouts right there in front of my tv, turning on Zumba on YouTube.

looks that program is USA only ( and a quick glance at this poster's locale shows she's UK based).... But it looks like a great program ☺️

Is there a sweaty mama in your area? I’ll be looking to join with my son soon, it’s really fun and a good workout 👍 x

I’ve just got a panel for my coat that goes over the carrier, so she’s nice and snug. It’s also like having your own little hot water bottle strapped to you haha
