So I measured small at my appt last week so they did a growth scan today. My dr said all is okay but they are moving me to twice weekly ultrasounds and a nst. I’m so worried something is wrong. I’ve never heard of them doing twice weekly’s. I am gestational diabetes controlled by diet. I’m so scared I’ll lose my baby to still birth or something terrible. Any experience?

It’s normal I was a diabetic with a breech baby and she measured small too - she was delivered healthy via c section. They just take extra precautions to make sure your baby is okay. Which is good you want all eyes on everything I delivered a day early because my placenta gave me high sugars and high blood pressure. The closer you get to 40 weeks the more your placenta kicks out sugar. Things can happen very quickly so it’s good that they have all eyes on everything.

The extra checks are good. I developed early onset severe preeclampsia with my son and he was measuring small but it wasn’t caught until after my preeclampsia showed up. So I was scheduled the ultra sounds but they ended up canceling them and admitting me. He came at 28 weeks. He is a healthy rambunctious 1 year old that has been cleared from all his specialist (making sure he catches up cause he came so early). I say all that to say. In the event something is caught on the ultrasounds. They are doing enough interventions to get you and baby the help you need. Praying for your safe and healthy delivery ❤️
