Have you had a Strep b test yet? Also my cervical check was very uncomfortable, so mentally prepare for that😅

I have not!😅

I've started going every week from now and I have scans every week and CTG monitoring twice a week so we just go over that, they take my blood pressure, hear the babies heart, go over scan and monitoring, check the growth of your abdomen. I'm not getting cervix checked (I've had 3 and they're not very nice but breath through it and you'll be good, it'll definitely be more comfortable than labour haha) but I guess every woman is different why they want to give you checks every week, this is my first so I'm not sure what's normal 🤣 my baby is growing small and reduced movements that's why they want to see me weekly.

i’m 37 weeks & my doctor does not deem it necessary to even do a cervical check bc you could be a certain number dialated for days or weeks at a time. they are not accurate & doesn’t really confirm on when baby will come 😬

I do go weekly as well and get a BPP ultrasound done every time I'm there before my actual appointment (Which is the normal blood pressure, weight, talk about concerns). I have VCI, baby is in the 12th percentile, I have grade 3 placenta, I live over an hour away from the nearest hospital and I'm already dilated so I'll be induced next week when I'm 37w🥹😅I could have went to labor and delivery today but I wanted her to be in there as long as possible while it being safe as she has always had an issue with the practice breathing of the BPP.

they usually swap your vagina and anus for the step b test so mentally prepare for that as well!

My OB said cervical checks feel like someone else is trying to pick your nose through your vag. She wasn’t wrong. 🤣 don’t get discouraged if you hear the same numbers regarding dilation and thinning a couple weeks in a row!

I've never heard of that, I had to Google it 🤦🏼♀️ they'll just be really keeping an eye on you and baby because you do live so far away too. Interesting, I'm on the same percentile and got a lobe attached to my placenta which is why he isn't thriving anymore....I'm intrigued to see if I will get induced soon too. Eeeeek. Good luck, you've got this mumma!! 🙏🏽

what kind of info did they give you about your placenta? Mine is also grade 3 and baby dropped from 80th percentile to 75th in a week.. should i be concerned? Also have Gd

They just told me I might have to have a C-section due to the severity of the cord attachment and I'll be scheduled Wednesday at 37w because of everything, they wanted me to get induced last Wednesday but I asked to wait a week and they said it shouldn't be a problem! But they also said my placenta wasn't sufficient to carry her to full term😕 I would only be concerned if your doctor makes it seem serious, as they know what's best🤞but thank you!! I hope you all have a safe labor and fast recovery 💗💗

oh okay! Best of luck to you on wednesday you got this mama❤️❤️❤️
