Does anyone else have an aversion to a specific place or am I just weird? 😂 every time I go in my downstairs toilet I gag?! I know it’s not the smell or anything. I have been sick in there a couple of times so I suppose that could be why?! I just find it very odd 😂

Yes!! I cant seem to walk into my kitchen 🤣

I’m glad it’s not just me! 😂

Haha that's funny. I definitely couldn't handle the fridge for a while but not an entire room 😅

haha see for me it’s not smells or anything! I think it’s where I’m sick in there so maybe my body just relates it to being sick and gags 😂 clearly I’m weird! X

There is a thing called anticipatory nausea - patients having chemotherapy used to get it in the days before we had good drugs to treat chemo-associated sickness x

oh really! I’ve never heard of that but it makes complete sense! X

interesting isn't it! Basically your brain builds an association between a thing or a place and feeling sick, then that thing starts to make you feel sick. I've never heard of it happening in pregnancy before, and don't know how to fix it, but I guess just understanding what might be going on is helpful sometimes!

Oh wow! I’m exactly the same with my downstairs toilet ever since I was 5 weeks pregnant. I’m now 15 weeks. I’m convinced there’s a really weird smell in there that nobody else in the house can smell! They think I’m going crazy but I can be upstairs, right at the other end of the house and I will know if someone’s left the door open because I will smell it. It’s driving me mad 😂
