Hey!
So I’ve been on sertraline for around 6 years now maybe? And propranolol for my panic attacks. Propranolol in a sense just slows the heart rate down to prevent a panic attack arising. They’re an ‘if and when’ medication, so for instance if I’m feeling more anxious one day I’ll take one (40mg) or even before a situation which heightens my anxiety. (This is my doctors instructions so please do as they ask and not based off my experiences).
They’re absolutely fine, I wouldn’t say I had any side effects and I don’t think they give side effects but then again everyone is different! I originally thought propranolol were a ‘placebo effect’ type tablet but they upped my dosage and I definitely feel a difference. Xx
brilliant thank u for replying means a lot just worried that they won’t work xx

Honestly, I feel your pain. It’s absolutely awful experiencing anxiety but just know, everything is worth a try. They might work absolutely perfect for you! Never know! Hope it does. Xx

In regards to fluoxetine, I haven’t ever taken them myself but I have administered them plenty times. It’s an SSRI med, just like sertraline. They both work to increase serotonin in the brain! Xx
thank you for all ur comments yeh sertriline made me feel not great ive been on the other medication since sunday haven’t felt awful like i did with sertriline so fingers crossed xx
sorry I’ve completely forgot I think my doctor sed that I can take one tablet a day or just when I feel like I’m gonna be panic to take one tablet is this similar to what your doctor says xx

Hey. I was on fluoxetine for approx 6 months and it wasn’t for me. It made me feeling like a zombie and didn’t help with my mood. We adjusted the dosage a few times before changing.
I know that everyone reacts differently, so it might work for you! But worth keeping an eye on how you feel. It will take a few weeks to kick in, but just see how you get on with it.
I changed over to Vortioxetine after six months and it changed everything for me, I’m still on it and feel like a totally different and much better person! Xx
okay thank you I will 100% keep note and keep an eye out as don’t want to feel like a zombie etc as have a 2 year old so don’t wanna be more boring ah xx
