Work and baby

How are you mamas juggling work, sleep and baby?

I’m exhausted and I feel guilty saying this… I miss being able to do things I use to do like relax and binge watch my favorite show or go out for a nice brunch.

I love my little one so much, but I need to find balance!

Girl, I feel you. I need to make time for myself, to do things I enjoy. Instead of binge scrolling.

I can relate to this 100%. The only thing that keeps me sane is that we developed a sleep routine so my daughter is asleep by 7 every night. She’s not a good sleeper at all so I still have to wake several times in the night, but at least I have a few hours before bed to binge watch my shows.

Don’t feel guilty. You’re not alone, and it’s normal to miss pieces of your life before ❤️

I’ve also never been away from my daughter to be able to enjoy a brunch or night out. It’s hard sometimes. I’m here if you ever need to rant!

it’s to the point where I feel myself getting frustrated with my husband because I envy that he doesn’t have to reach over 50xs a night to put in the pacifier and snores away. He’s helpful in so many ways don’t get me wrong…but the lack of sleep is killing me.

thank you 😊

Try playing with pacifiers in the daytime so baby learns to put back in mouth themselves..then place multiple pacifiers in the crib so baby has a good chance to find one!

I felt exactly like you feel so I knew something needed to change.

Once baby started sleeping 12 hours with no feeds, I felt like a new person.

I am by no means a sleep coach, but I can share what I did with my baby if you DM me.

I relate to this so hard. I’m a kindergarten teacher, and my husband works early and long shifts so I’m the one who gets her ready for the day and occasionally get her ready for bed. I have to come home and wash my pump parts, wash the bottles for the next day and then pull out milk. That’s before doing any chores or anything too. My husband helps but he can only do much too bc he only gets one day off. I keep telling myself this is just a season but man am I tired.

I always worried about placing multiple in the crib what if he rolls over them and sleeps on it. Is that not uncomfortable?

it’s truly the most challenging part that no one really mentions before having kids. It makes me wonder why ppl go in and have so many more.

I get that. My husband works overnights so I’m also the one who wakes up with my daughter all night, and her room is upstairs and ours is downstairs so I feel like I get a workout in every night lol. It’s very exhausting. What are your thoughts on sleep training? My baby is a HORRIBLE napper and not a great night sleeper so I did it for a few nights and it worked amazingly. Our pediatrician even approved it. But the. I gave up because I was sad seeing her cry, but I may do it again and just shorten the timers for checking in.

Avatar

I did sleep training at 4 months and he was sleeping through the night. Then one day we gave him the pacifier to sleep all day because he was fussy and it’s been a nightmare since then. I do plan on doing it again once he gets through teething.

I can only speak for my baby, but it is not an issue for us. They are very mobile at this age, so my thought process is if it was uncomfortable, he would move or would not be able to sleep.

He sleeps like a dream with a bunch of them, 2-4 end up outside the crib and when I only had one, he would whine/cry looking for it. Sometimes he had no chance to find it because it was on the floor.

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Hey what are your current symptoms?

I’m 37+5

I’m pretty mobile still but anything over a hour or 2 and I’m in discomfort

Getting up from a sitting position is hard

Some of baby’s movements now are bordering on painful especially around my crotch/pelvis

I’m exhausted very easily and nap every single day

Can basically only breathe out my mouth now and I’m snoring and dribbling 😂

Standing in one leg is very painful 😂

Some waves of pain/ tightening but I regular and mild

Low period type aches

And I feel like a fire breathing dragon with this acid reflux

My nose is growing 😂

My fingers swell slightly and go numbs in my sleep so that and constant toilet breaks keep me up ( checked swelling with MW and consultant and all normal, not a worry)

I also do not want to be social in person like I’d rather everyone just be my penpal atm lol

What are your symptoms?
