How do you know when to size up on nappies? I use aldis nappies and still using size 1 but wondering whether I should be using size 2? Baby was back up to birth weight last week which was 8lbs 6 and think she’s bigger now but not sure her exact weight.

I think it depends on each baby but I use Aldi nappies too and I moved my 5 week old onto size 2 about a week ago as I noticed they started to seem tight around her legs even tho now they are a bit big on her stomach they fit a lot more comfortably around her legs. Also she started to get leaks so that for me was another indication she needed the next size up xx

My baby’s a similiar weight and we’ve sized up to 2 in Aldi nappies at about 5 weeks. It’s really helped with the leaks/blow outs and it’s much more comfortable around her legs. I wouldn’t necessarily follow the guidelines on the nappy packaging in terms of what weight baby should be wearing nappies as it is varies between each baby.

Size 1 goes up to 11lbs so it’s whether you think they still fit your baby.

We’ve moved up to size 2, much better. Less leaks xx

Aldi size 2 starts from a smaller weight than other brands (6lb) so you could size up now - we’ve found LO has grown out of size 1 in Aldi but not other brands!
