Breast pumps: momcozy or medela? (UK)

Helloooo! I’m researching on which breast pump to get. Baby isn’t due until mid-Feb but want to start looking at options to see which to get when I deffo know I’ll be needing it. I’ve seen good reviews on momcozy and medela, does anyone have any experience or preference for either? I’m planning on BF for the first 6-8 weeks and then BF and bottle feed afterwards. I’m particularly after the handsfree one! Any insights would be so helpful 😊

I tried the medela manual first. Didn’t mind this. Got good pumps but took FOREVER to empty. Kept this as a just in case my electric ones ever go bust!
Then tried the medela solo. I didn’t like this. I found the pump was awkward as it had to be held or a needed a special bra to hold the bottles in place and it didn’t empty me fully and I ended up with Mastitis.
I now use the Momcozy V2. I love this pump. Many say that handsfrees shouldn’t be your main source for pumping but it’s mine (I exclusively pump) and I’ve never had any issues at all. It helped increase my amounts. I can deal with my baby at the same time. Was definitely worth the purchase. I’ve had it 3+ months and never needed to replace anything. X

I have a momcozy M5 and I love it. I wouldn’t buy one before birth though, not everyone can get on with expressing milk and they don’t recommend starting until 6 weeks as you need to establish your milk supply. I’d recommend buying a Hakka for now then get one later on but of course it’s up to you 😊

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
