Anyone had this happen to them? Did you have a successful vaginal delivery from inducing when not being dilated?

Yes !if you not dilated after inducing..They will increase the pitocin dose, thats what happened with me

Yes! I was 39 weeks and 5 days. My blood pressure was high so my doctor wanted to induce. They gave me Dilapan. It took a long time for me. I went to the hospital at 9am on a Friday and she wasn’t born until 4pm on Saturday. You got this mama! 💕

I was 40 weeks and not dilated or effaced. I opted to get induced at 40+2days. I started with misoprostol to thin my cervix which didn’t do much. They started me on Pitocin and started to dilate some but not much, so I had the catheter balloon which was not fun. very painful and started my contractions to become much more intense.. Got the epidural which was a godsend, i wish i got it way sooner but i wanted to try to go natural for as long as i could. once i hit 4 cm they increased my Pitocin again and i eventually gave birth vaginally with minimal tearing. it was a very long process so the advice i give is to be patient and get the epidural as soon as they let you if your getting it!

How soon until induction? Try acupuncture if you still have time.!

did you have a vaginal birth?

were you dilated before going in for your induction?💗🙏🏻

I wasn’t dilated & she hadn’t dropped either. When I did dilate I was stuck at 2.5 cm for a looong time. I finally caved around 12 hours and asked for an epidural.

yes …I got induced at 38 weeks

Yes! I got induced at 37w2d for high blood pressure. First baby and was not ready to deliver at all. 30 hours from when they started my induction but had a successful vaginal delivery and a healthy baby girl! All things considered labor was not nearly as bad as I had feared. The sleep deprivation was the hardest part. Started with the catheter balloon which was the worst part.

My induction was scheduled at 39 wks exactly I was supposed to be at the hospital at 5 am but I started labor around 2 am I was 4 cm when I get to the hospital 60% effaced so I stayed there until noon so the doctor suggested to break my water and started pitocin .. it was 6pm and did not progress too much and the baby started showing signs of distress so they stopped the pitocin and let us rest for at least 4 hours and they restarted the medicine and they told me if there is not progress they would do a c section so they checked around 1 am and I was fully effaced and 10cm dialeted and have my baby around 3 am
