I’m 5 months pregnant with my first. Every time I stand or walk around for more than like 20 minutes, my right thigh goes numb until I stop moving or sit down. This has been happening for a few months now and it’s always the same leg. It’s not painful but just kind of annoying and freaks me out. I talked to two drs about it and they both said it has something to do with a nerve and said it’s normal in pregnancy.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m becoming self-conscious in a way about it because google says it can also be because of weight which I have a higher BMI (which I think the BMI is stupid anyways) but I wouldn’t say I’m fat, just could lose a few pounds but not really my focus being pregnant right now 😂😅 Just curious to see if this is common or not.

I had this!! Super scary when it first happens. Dr said it was because the baby was positioned so she was sitting on a nerve so it caused the numbness in my thigh when on my feet for an extended time. Totally normal!
thank you for sharing! makes me feel a little better! 💛

I've had this since month 2 and I'm in my final month now and still have it. Been told it's completely normal. They even have a name for it but I can't remember what she said :p
