Hi fellow momsš„°. So, TMI but my poops (on the rare occasion I have one) have been so..dry and shriveled. Pre pregnancy, I was very regular, nothing went in that didnāt come out. However now, they arenāt as frequent. An Iām not eating terribly, but also not eating the best as I somewhat did before pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy and Iām at 16wks, any advice on why this is or what I can do for it?

Definitely up your water intake and probably eat more fibrous foods or take a fiber supplement. Hormones can cause constipation and your body is making a lot of extra blood so the liquids you take in are going to that instead of your gut.

Colace stool softener really helps with this. I take one in the morning and one at night.

I also proactively take a laxative (Dulcolax) once a week just to keep things moving. And drink lots and lots of water

Bloom supergreens powder has CHANGED my life when it comes to the constipation!

Magnesium is the healthiest option besides extra water.

Thank you all!!..It probably is the water thing (lack of) I drink it all day but Iām not sure if really enough, and before pregnancy all I would drink was water and all the timeš¤¦š¾āāļø now it is such a task to drink it.

probably dehydrated, I just started a generic Zofran (I believe) for the nausea on Monday but I havenāt thrown up the whole pregnancy so far. The nausea is just uncomfortable of course so I decided to try it. May take some time to get in my system bc so far itās not helping

got it, thank you!! Iām picking up my big support jug/cup of water nowāŗļø

dang is it my nausea meds making me so constipated ?šš©

Benefiber every day, and I use miralax also on days when I take Zofran! Honestly none of the other options worked for me, and I already drink a ton of water and eat a lot of fiber. Although I have found flax seed is helpful but I'm adding it to everything haha
