Hi guys, my LO is teething & teething bad & they’re all coming in at once. He was completely off his milk the end of last week so I took him to the doctors who told me to give him nerofen twice a day. Which I did yesterday & today but the bottle says to not give any longer than 24 hours. Has anyone given their LOs nerofen for more than 2 days?? I’m going to not give him any tomorrow and see how he goes but I’m worried his mouth will hurt so bad again he won’t want to eat. Seems to be the only thing that’s helping him

Yeah we gave our little boy it longer than 2 days, alternating with calpol when he wasn’t well. His gp said it was okay with the go ahead from health professional x

Have you tried any of the teething powder? It's not as powerful as neurofen or calpol but my little girl has refused a bottle because of teething. We give her a sachet of powder and she then takes the bottle. We have started to rub it on the gums a bit once in her mouth as suggested by a health visitor.

Maybe just give a nighttime dose but nurofen definitely helps x

I’ve tried the granules & the gel. They just aren’t helping. Calpol isn’t either. Nerofen is the only thing that seems to help

@Amber ah that's a shame. I'm grateful they help a little as I've tried giving calpol or ibuprofen when it gets really bad but my little girl will not take either and we have tried every trick in the book!
