Nappy bins are totally not necessary. Nappy sacks work just fine

We have the Angel care one and absolutely love it! Everyone told us to not bother but I’m so glad we did!

I found ours quite useful to be honest, especially if you had pooey nappies in the night and don’t want to put them outside in the dark. But I think you could just get a normal bin with a lid and empty it once a day or something, i’m debating whether to bother with the bin this time around because they keep the smell at bay but the refills are expensive!

Not worth it IMO. We had the tommee tippee one which we got for free as part of a deal & I’m glad because I wouldn’t pay for it 🫣 the sacks provided didn’t mask the smell I found so I was double bagging and then it was a faff to empty x

I only used them because we were gifted one. It really only became "useful" when starting solids and poops started to smell AWFUL so it was sealed away. But we quickly realized it's so much easier to throw out diapers in the regular trash and take it out daily. Technically though you are supposed to flush any solid poop but who of us is actually doing that 👀

We had one upstairs and one downstairs & found them really useful. We only used them until baby was probably about 6 months old, when the changes got less frequent.
I would say they’re not a necessity though :)

Refills are so expensive. We used it for a while with my first and loved it but when we stopped using it because we ran out of refills one time during a tight month, we realised it wasn’t actually that inconvenient just to Chuck nappies in a bag outside and take them to the bins in the evening 🤷🏻♀️ saved a fortune 😅

i got the tommee tippee one in a deal with steriliser and prep machine, we keep it in our bedroom for night changes but still put nappies in a nappy sack first.
if we didn't get it in the 3 for 2 deal, we wouldn't have bothered x

We ended up using a bin bag in ours for convenience as the refills are expensive. Ended up just taking the nappies downstairs (or throwing them down) and put them straight in the outside bin. Not worth it.

We found a nappy bin essential when we lived in a flat as the outside bin was down 3 flights of stairs so we couldn't always quickly get rid of a stinker. Now we're in a house it's less essential but we do use it upstairs for convenience. We have one with a physical seal rather than one that uses cartridges and twists bags. So we can just use a regular bin bag. It's also worth noting that poos don't really smell that bad until they start eating solids so that might factor into your decision!

We just use nappy bag it’s usually for a pound and it does the job

We loved our nappy bin for the numerous poos through the night.

I bought a normal bin from John Lewis and it’s done us just fine 😊

I got the tommee tippee for free on amazon when I bought off stuff for baby initially and one from aldi when on offer. For everyone finding it hard on the refills, please check amazon for their own brand refills..honestly,they work just the same and are cheaper than the tommee tipee refills! They are all the same size .

Nappy sacks and normal waste bin, you can cut out nappy sacks for just wet nappies too as they only really help with odours 🤣 nappy bins ALWAYS SMELL!!! And the amount you’ll change your little one when your nappy bin is upstairs for example outweighs the cost 🙌🏼
We would chuck our dirty nappies in nappy sacks out of our bedroom door and just take it down in the morning.

Not worth it for me. But I use cloth and we have a laundry hamper for diapers. If I was using disposables I’d buy the mini rolls of biodegradable/compostable bags and use those for poopy ones.

I use a regular trash can for my second baby and honestly it’s really smelly. With my first we had a nappy bin and it never smelled.

I hated my twisty nappy bin! - such a pain in he arse to change the cartridge things. It hurt my back when I was post-partem. In the end, I just got a peddle bin and put all the nappies in tied up nappy bags so it smells less, emptied it regularly
