Struggling with Naps/bedtime as wake windows get longer

Wakes around 730am
(3hr Wake Window)
1st Nap 1030am-12
(3.5hr Wake Window) - won't fall asleep any earlier
2nd Nap 330-430
(4.5/5hr Wake Window) - won't fall asleep any earlier
Bedtime 9/930pm

I can't seem to get out of this cycle of a super later 2nd Nap. Sometimes I have to wake him from it but he is so not happy to be woken. But he is going to bed really late. Is anyone else having this problem? Any tips?

Exact same schedule as my little one and then she’s wide awake at 5am it’s a killer! 😴

It took my baby like a week to adjust, but we just stayed consistent with the times and now he just follows it on his own.
We start waking him by 6:30am.
First nap from 9:30-10:45am (we had to wake him from this to help get him on a schedule at first).
Second nap from 2:15pm-3:30pm (again wake from nap if needed)
Then bed time at 7:30/7:45ish.

This can fluctuate by 30 minutes if he we all end up wanting to sleep in a bit later and do a 7am wake time!

Another thing that we did was make sure during his wake windows he was being super active and getting himself tired out/also eating enough!

Looks very similar to our schedule too. She is starting to fight her sleep even after a 4/4.5 hour wake window 😞

I think I would possibly try a 1 nap routine with wake windows like that

I found capping the first nap helped to get a longer, earlier afternoon nap. Her first nap is around 930 ish for 30mins /45. Then pm nap 130ish - 1530 at the latest then 730/45 bedtime. She has 2.5-3hrs day time sleep.

Yeah my little girl isn’t always happy about being woken up but the last few days she’s been naturally waking up at these times so she must be adjusting. We only have one wake up a night at the moment, she’s NEVER slept through 🤣

Thanks for all the perspectives! Is there a reason it's best to cap the first nap before the second?

I think some people do it so that if they have longer wake windows , a 2nd can be fitted in, or if 2nd nap is harder, it might make them more tired for that nap.
I've never capped the first nap with my children, I've always capped the 2nd so that as awake time becomes longer, that nap becomes an hour and over time as they gear up to have one nap, that one eventually goes.
I don't cap the morning one as its this one that starts to be shifted towards midday when they go to one nap x

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
