Anyone else’s baby obsessed with them to a detrimental point? Like my husband can’t even put him down to sleep anymore. He cries with anyone but me. (Except for dad- but if I’m in the room then his dad can kick rocks, too). I dont know what to do. I love how much he loves me but I’m EXHAUSTED and I feel bad leaving him with anyone for more than like an hour because I’m afraid he is going to cry the whole time.
He’s been around people since he was born, so I feel like it’s definitely nature and not nurture. So I dont know how to break it.

All of my kids are like this with me honestly. My 6 month old though is really fussy with anyone but me right now. Not even my husband is okay right now unless they're playing for a few minutes

My daughter is that way. And lately she just wants me to put her down for a nap or bed time. She'll crawl in my lap and lay down. She's 7 months old. Her dad tried but she didn't want anything to do with him.

Yes, my daughter only wants me. I feel your pain and it’s been since day 1. 😩

My oldest was like that. It really is exhausting. It’s a love hate thing. Loved being her comfort and source of safety, hated that I could rarely spare 5 minutes for myself without her having a complete meltdown to the point of hyperventilating. And it made her dad feel terrible that he couldn’t calm her. He felt like she hated him for a long time. She’s gotten better about it though (she’s 26 months now). My youngest (almost 7 months) doesn’t seem to have that same problem unless it’s someone she’s not really familiar with or sees very little of.
it’s exhausting! You’re right! I love that he loves me, but I am TIRED. And I feel so bad for my husband. He is so involved and wants to do more than my baby will let him do. I had to explain to him that as much as it sucks for him, it’s also VERY hard being the parent that he does want.

The Wonder Weeks app says that this is a time of extra clinginess. They are learning about distance and such… my babe is going through it now too
unfortunately it’s been a forever thing. 😅 it has gotten worse recently and I did confirm that with the app, too! But he ALWAYS freaks out without me.
