Other than a handful of times I only seem to be able to feed my 18 month old to sleep at night. I’ve tried singing, rocking, letting her settle herself but she will just cry until I give her the boob. Any tips on how to move on from the feed to sleep association?

Could have written this myself lol 😅 we’ve been trying to gradually reduce the feeding time, eg week one I fed for 30 minutes and then said “finish” unlatched him and just lay with him/stroked his back etc until he fell asleep. Took ages first few days but he gradually got it.
Week two I reduced to 25 minutes , week three 20 minutes…. We were doing well and then he got sick so back to square one 😅 no idea if this will work for you or be helpful but I just wanted a slow pace!

Have you tried white noise? It works like a charm with my little one!
this is helpful thanks!
Definitely going to try this when she better (we’ve also been poorly too🤦🏼♀️)
yeah we have it on every night but doesn’t help much!

Not sure if your little one still wakes in the night for milk too? But ours does so we’ve also been only feeding if it’s been a certain amount of time since last feeding and we’re stretching that each week (week one 3 hours, week two 4 hours etc) and also reducing length of night feed each time… although when I’m tired and it’s 3sm it is so so easy to just give boob 😅
Good luck! Xx
I need to do this properly but in the middle of the night I have no will power 😂 if I don’t give her the boob she ends up crying and being more difficult to get to sleep , I will try reducing the length of the feed though thank you 😊
