I went for a growth scan today, I am 34+4 and was told baby’s head and tummy is measuring at 38+3!! I’m going for a glucose test tomorrow and I’m just super worried about all of this. My pregnancy has been completely fine up until now. Has anyone else had a massive jump measuring big?

I’m 36 weeks today and have had multiple growth scans. The first scan I got told baby’s femurs were measuring short. The next scan was conducted by a trainee doctor with the sonographer present. At one point he got 4 completely different readings for the same measurement with quite a vast variation. He read them all out to the sonographer who said ‘just use that one’… At that scan I then got told baby had accelerated growth. The next scan I got told everything is fine! Please try not to worry yourself. It sounds like you are low risk and there is often so much inaccuracy in the measurements. If anything I’ve found it reassuring getting to see baby and hear their heartbeat so frequently x

I am same as you! 34 + 3 two growth scans so far and baby now measuring in the 97th centile but it’s her head and tummy that are really big and bringing up the average! I had a glucose test on Friday and just awaiting the results but my gut tells me I don’t have gestational diabetes just a big baby 😂. Baby is estimated 6lb now with 5.5 weeks to go! We were given a lot of reassurance at our app about its pretty normal and not to worry, but of course it’s hard not to

Had exactly the same! GTT test came back fine. Scan at 34 weeks showed it was 90th centile and now scan at 36 weeks showed it’s plateaued to 75th centile

I’m 35+5 today, and had a scan on Friday where the baby was measuring 93rd percentile and estimated 6lb10oz. Neither the midwife I’ve been seeing this whole time, and the ultrasound techs thinks it’s is necessary (because both me and the dad are above 6’2), but the consultant wants me to start having growth scans and a gestational diabetes test. The main reason the baby is big is long femur and long humerus, which makes sense with both parents being in the adult 99th percentile. I am not worried about the extra scan or the diabetes test results (only worried about the fasting/being hungry/hangry part), she is just growing in her pace.
