New hobbies & friend groups

I am due in May, i have a dog. Moving towards the Pineville / Ballantyne area in March. Would love to have someone who knows how to play acoustic guitar and teach me or even go to parks and do things as i am a single mom and don’t have friends! I tell my partner to wear a condom not only for protection but also so that there's no mess to clean up when I get up to use the toilet. Is this normal?
I ask because I now have the contraceptive pill but I still want him to wear a condom.
