36 weeks pregnant and they kept stressing how big baby was. They said baby is in the 95th percentile at my ultrasound. Measuring 3 weeks ahead.
Baby is measuring like a full term baby lol.
What do they mean by percentile?

Basically if they weighed 100 babies, if baby is 95th percentile then 5 babies would weigh more than yours :)
Oh ok. Makes sense. Thank you

It’s weight based. But unless you are at a specialist don’t worry. I’m 32 weeks and at 30 weeks, mine measured 99% percentile with the bone structure measuring 4 weeks ahead. We went to a specialist last week and they dropped him to between 86%. And only the head is 4 weeks ahead. Most of the bone structures are 2-3 weeks ahead. If your bone structure is measuring ahead, it just means you’ll have a long baby.

My 2 are/have been on the 99th centile. My first baby was 9lbs 10oz and 56cm long and they think this one will be bigger. But do remember they aren’t 100% accurate! X

my baby is 98th percentile weighing 7.3pounds at 36w 3days

Geez… mines in the 93%… I’m at 34wks! They have me going in every week for an ultrasound…
Wow. Lots of big babies 😊

Good to note that ultrasounds are only an estimate mommas!! The further along in pregnancy you are, the more inaccurate they may be. Up to a few pounds above or below actual measurements!
