Hi all,
So my 7 month old has always been a bit of a handful. She never really sits still unless super tired, constantly shouts really loud, can't be put down for long at all without losing her cool with us i.e. in her high chair and just generally seems quite high needs. I'm a FTM and I guess only have the other babies at groups to compare to, who just seem super chill and content all the time. She also holds her arms in the air constantly. Does this sound like normal behavior!? My husband is convinced she has some sort of hyperactivity problem but I don't really know what to think. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks

Definitely normal, my girl is the exact same! It’s just a phase they go through x

Sounds pretty normal to me! Wait until she's crawling and walking 😂 could have traits on the autistic spectrum? Although most of us have! Xx

My 7 month old is exactly the same. It’s so exhausting.
Very reassuring thanks girls! I'm sure she will have some 'traits'' like you say most of us do! Just wanted to make sure she sounds developmentally normal haha. I reckoned it was a phase but my husband reckons it's been months / gone on too long! X

They’re discovering so many things and now they’re starting to understand much more the world around them. My little boy does a lot of things like these but I’m sure it’s normal

My boy tries to eat other children at the baby massage class we go to. All the other babies just lie there and get a good rub and he's offsky seeing who his next victim is 😂 they're all different and it's just their little personalities coming through more and more :) I say embrace it cause one day it'll all change again and you'll think back like "what was I worried about" :)

This is normal. Hands in the air means "carry me". To be honest when my baby gets like this it means she needs more attention, cuddles. The more I cuddle and kiss her, accept her as a little human that's scared, the calmer she is. It could also mean gases if she just ate and needs to get up/ be lifted. Tbh follow your instincts, take 5 min to breathe if you feel you need a break.

Also, pretty normal to be cranky around 5pm haha
Thanks again all! The arms in the air is literally all day and i always thought it was more a balance thing. She just waves her arms around constantly haha 😂 oh absolutely! 5pm onwards is definitely wind down for bed time, she gets mega mega cranky 😂

I'm so glad I see this post and all the comments. My boy is 7 months on the 25th and honestly, I'm dreading when he can crawl/walk 😂 he is constantly on the go unless tired or hungry. He starts nursery soon so I'm hoping he gets all his energy out there 🤣

Deffo normal
Xx
