How long does c section take to heal after infection

Personal experience depends on the kind of infection
I had a yeast infection around my scar that took ages to heal even after antibiotics then I had a opening in my scar that got a slight infection snd that took a few days with cream
Hopefully yours will clear quickly just keep it clean and dry
Air it out when possible and a hairdryer to make sure its completely dry really helps

It can take weeks, or months it just depends! I have an infection as well, my incision opened about 2cm and I have to put antibacterial sponges in and out of it. Plus had to be on an iv antibiotic but when I got home I started antibiotic pills. It’s been about 3 weeks for me but it’s almost healed!

What I was told by the hospital wound care team is to intake lots of protein wether it be protein powder, meat etc :) and lots of water

Mine is slightly weeping and smells alittle so I’m assuming it’s infected I don’t know

Sounds like some kind of infection
If the antibiotics don't help ask for cream instead I had fucidon I believe that cleared it up very quickly

We're you on IV antibiotics in hospital? I had sepsis so I had 6 days of IV and then around 2 weeks of take home meds. 2 different types of antibiotics x x

Make sure to keep washing very well with an unscented soap and keeping dry. Moisture and heat (which the placement of a C-section trap’s moisture and is very warm) breed infections. If possible have some “air time” after showering till your site is completely dry.

They called my sepsis "an infection" I only found out on discharge x x

I haven’t had a bath, I haven’t got it wet. I’ve been trying to avoid the area and just cleaning around it🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️x

Mine got infected 5 weeks after, it opened up on both sides too. I went on antibiotics and then at about 7 weeks it opened up again and smelt like infection (awful smell) and I went back to the doctors and he gave me a “hibi scrub” after 2/3 days it was completely closed up and didn’t have any issues since x

No baths but showers. You need to get it wet to properly clean or y’all you’re doing is breeding infection.
