35 weeks with second baby and midwife said the head has started to engage so I spent the weekend getting everything ready worried in case baby shows up early. Now I have this nagging feeling like “oh I’ve nothing to do now I’m bored” like my nesting instinct is angsty. I haven’t even stopped work yet so if I’m already feeling like this now I’m gonna so stir crazy in 3 weeks’ time 🤪 Anyone else peak too soon with the nesting?

Is there another project you can take on? Is the baby book ready to be filled out? Do you have all your medical files organized? Is your online banking/finances organized and auto-pay setup where needed? Do you have your reoccurring delivery subscriptions (eg diapers, toilet paper, cat litter) set up? Hope any of these ideas will help you feel more prepared & scratch your nesting itch!

May I recommend a little show called Selling Sunset? Just pop your feet up and relax. Xx

yess take advantage of this chill time!

Batch cooking! I’ve done a fair bit since being on maternity leave, so the freezer is full of nice home cooked meals for postpartum xx

Aww I totally get this, I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and I’ve literally been non stop for the past few weeks! Add in our little boys third birthday celebrations all last weekend! This weekend we’ve created panelling in the nursery and got that all sorted, packed all our bags. I’ve got 2 more days left at work and then hopefully a week before baby arrives as having a planned c-section! I literally can’t sit still I need to be constantly doing something!
I’m trying to make the baby a mobile for her room, It’s the only thing that makes me actually sit down apart from when I’m WFH! X
Hope you can find a hobby or something you can find to watch that makes you rest a little bit!

This is me! Having to plan days out when my partner is working and I'm off work so I don't demolish the house with a new DIY project 😂😂
I've had to take up knitting so my hands have something to do and don't get angsty which has helped although it did take me a few days to get over the fact I'm now someone who knits 😂
