I’m thinking about dropping my middle of the night pump because several times now I’ve missed my alarm or turned it off in my sleep or something and slept 6-7 hours, each time I suffer from blocked ducts/swollen breasts for days after. Currently dealing with that now, so I wouldn’t try until after that clears up. My LO is 14 weeks old. Any tips for doing this? Has anyone lost milk supply when they tried? TYIA

Hmmm. Man, yeah that MOTN pump is the worst. I’ve always been told that the MOTN pumps is actually one of the most important to maintain your supply. I’ve gotten around it by pumping at midnight and then at 5am. However, since dropping my pumps per day, I’ve seen a decrease in supply but I’m fine with it for my mental health (we supplement with formula).
Have you tried sunflower lecithin?
Best of luck!!🤞🏽

I dropped my middle of the night pump when my son was about 2 months old. My supply hasn't been affected much. It just means my 6am pump is a really big one.
I also found using lactation massagers/warmers really effective for preventing clogged ducts and increasing my flow and supply
