How would you feel if your husband all of a sudden gets pissed and hands you over the baby and says “ I changed my mind I actually don’t like babies at all”
Context: he was apparently trying to do something on his phone at the same time as carrying out 4 month old daughter. She was fussy as it’s a bit late. He comes to me with anger and tells me to take her and that she’s very annoying and that he doesn’t like kids at all.
I felt really hurt by what he said as he doesn’t really spend that much time with her. He works 6 days a week 9-6, until he’s home and have showered and everything it’s a bit over 7. I take care of the feeding and changing clothes and diaper and everything regarding my daughter. And he’s super kind to always help with cleaning the house and he knows I don’t really get time for that. But when he actually carries our daughter to give me some space he doesn’t do a very good job because he’s always on his phone

I’d be incredibly hurt. Like god put the phone down and be a parent, dude. Try to help calm her down. Put effort into it. Calm down too, babies can sense when someone is agitated or upset and it makes them upset in return. Like cool, you worked, thank you? But spend time with your kid too. In my opinion, if a man gets married and is there the whole pregnancy, he can’t act all surprised when the baby acts like a baby. And cries. And gets upset.

Some people aren’t good with certain age groups. But I would have a talk with about being more engaged and present. It sounds like you are doing most of the child care and while yes he is working a lot to support his family, he is still a parent and that is a full time job on top of already having a full time job.
Thank you all, yes tbh i felt a bit hurt and I told him that he could’ve calmly handed her over and tell me he needs to do something important instead of the way he did. He says he didn’t mean it and he was very stressed out about it.
I don’t expect him to do much about our daughters care because she’s fully breastfed and I don’t trust him with changing her😂, and he already has a full time job to provide for us and on top of that he always tidy the house for us so I’m thankful for that!

Don’t take it too serious. He was probably just frustrated at that moment. Give him grace his human too. I’m sure he loves his daughter but babies are annoying sometimes
Yeah when he said that I was just choked so I told him to go take his break outside and have his cig that he so much wanted and come back in when he feels better😂
