Waking up between 4am and 5am!!

Has anyone got any advice my 19 month old for weeks has been getting up at 5am he has a nap around 11-12.30 and goes to bed for 7/7.30 when he is ready he goes down to sleep really easily no fuss but today he got up at 4am and it’s not the first time his room is 18 degrees so it’s not cold in there and his nappy isn’t very wet but I can’t figure out why he’s getting up so early!! Has anyone got any advice? Thank you

I could have written this post myself! What the hell is going on? 😩 my son used to wake at 7/8am and now it’s 4/5am. No advice but following for some help too! X

Yep we’re in exactly the same boat has been on going for about 3 weeks now. Goes to bed fine, naps perfectly, but waking every day around 5am!!

My little one was the same. Have you tried I shortening his naps? I did this with my daughter and that seemed to help. She was having a nap for around 1.5 hours too around 11am but now she has 45 mins or sometimes doesnt nap at all 😩 but its worth it for a good nights sleep. I know every baby is different, but hope that helps xx

They are definitely going through something. My June born baby was waking at 5am on the dot for 3 months stright and just recently he turned 20 months he managing stretch up until 6.30 am. Just give a time bear it it will get better x

I don't go in if my daughter wakes that early unless she was like screaming crying. I just leave her be and often she goes back to sleep within 10-45 mins

id love to do that however we took the sides off his bed due to him climbing out so many times so he runs into my room very happy. He isn’t upset at all he wakes up opens his door and then opens my door and comes and wakes me up wanting to play

It’s probably a phase, I know that’s not much help but it will pass, my LO does the same then all of a sudden his pattern will change again x

ahh I see. I've heard a lot of people putting a baby gate in front of their door.

Our 18 month old is doing the exact same - her schedule is the same as yours all day! We don’t know what to do either. We have to read to ours or get up and play. There’s comfort in knowing we’re all up at this time together! Hopefully it’ll pass!

Same here!! I thought it was 18 month regression but he started waking up around 4:30-5:15 before Christmas and it is still happening! We are usually up for 6:15, nap between 12-1:30 or 2, then bedtime around 7:30-8. I googled it yesterday and Taking Cara Babies suggested earlier bed time so we put him down at 7 tonight. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning!

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
