Nappies leaking at night

Just wondering what everyone is doing for night time nappies. My boy wears size 4+ and he's well within the weight bracket, but because he sleeps on his front a lot his nappy gets squashed and then leaks!? So every other day I'm basically washing his bedding and sleeping bag etc! We have multiple so it's fine, but assuming everyone isn't washing bedding every other day? What can I do? Size up for night time? Pull ups?? All advice welcome!

Mine was the exact same! He loves sleeping on his belly & side! I now use night time pull up nappies and we’ve never had a leak since 🙂

Are you using overnight nappies?

I’ve been using Rascal and Friends overnight and they are great. My LO wears it for about 12hrs and it only leaked once.

Also, make sure his vests aren’t too tight. That can cause leakage if the nappy doesn’t have space to expand.

What does he wear to bed? Does it have enough room for the nappy to expand?

The nappy pants are working really well for us 😊

When my LO starts leaking of a night - she's a belly sleeper too and drinks a tonne of water. I size up. She started leaking the other night so I moved from size 5 to size 6 and haven't had any problems even with all the belly sleeping. I am now using all the size 5s in the day and the 6s for nights until I run out then will move up to 6 fully.

I’ve started using pull ups and they’re brilliant! Only use them overnight and it’s the only thing that has prevented overnight leaks after trying a million diapers

Use pampers at night

Pull ups have been a game changer for us

We started using pull ups at night and they work a treat.

I love pampers overnights and we are in a size 6! Some people say that you can size up and that’s helpful but when I did that my guy pee leaked through the side 🫠😂 maybe it was a me error but we tried a few nights with the overnights and found those to work. I switched him at size 4

Size up and pull ups definitely help in my experience (mum to 2 tummy sleeping boys) my eldest I used to have to change him while he slept before I went to sleep at night. We also found it had to be pampers at night too.
Removed under presstud vests too.

I’ve also heard of some mum using a cloth nappy wrap over the top. Found I always had to move my boys up a size as soon as they met the minimum size for the next size up. Also a quick change as soon as they start waking the morning can help.

when you rip the sides to take it off there isn’t anything to keep it closed like the tabs on nappies. So you roll up the pants and use that to stick it down so it stays closed

omg you learn something new every day!!! I always wondered 😂

Avatar

oh my gosh I thought that was to show they peed haha. 😂😂😂😂

I did too, until the pants at his nursery had them and I didn’t realise he’d not long been changed when I changed him at home from picking him up and caught it I thought it was a game changer as not all pants have them

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
