Has anyone had baby steps contact them? I was probably too honest about myself and now some random family support workers are getting in my business.

What is it they're trying to do? Like Ashley said maybe it's something available in your area, I'd say whatever the circumstances take any extra help/support you can get of its on offer!!!

I've never heard of them, might be in your area but I personally have a family support worker to help assist with my toddlers speech delay and toilet training which is also delayed plus my own advice on how to help my toddler adjust to a new sibling when born. Also very useful as we had a emergency with my partners eldest son and needed extra sensitive advice on how to manage the situation very recently-still ongoing, but honestly they are there for support. I requested mine to still help after this one is born, but they're usually short term.
I’m worried it’s social workers. And honestly they didn’t help me as a kid. I’ll accept support, if that’s what it really is. But it says they support vulnerable families, and nowhere on my file should it say I’m vulnerable.
Did anyone get a home visit whilst pregnant?

I had a social worker as a child-also went into the Foster care system from age 9 onwards. But social workers and family support workers are very different. Social workers are scary, yes. But they also help with special needs eg boost the waiting lists or help with special schools etc as well as the scary parts they manage.
Family support workers only support the family. If they have real and very scary concerns, they might go to a social worker. But family support workers don't usually do this unless they absolutely have to. I've had a family support worker for my toddler when I was expecting him-i have mental health stemming from childhood and found it very beneficial to myself. Have one again for my unborn and toddler as I've gotten no where when requesting help for toddlers situation with speech and toilet issues. Family support worker has given us lots of advice I couldn't get from others, and also supported me thoroughly during the emergency with my partners son(still ongoing).

Our family support worker has also reminded us on how to take care of ourselves as parents too. Eg my partner returning to the gym which had stopped for about a year, and for myself to remember it's OK to spend 30 minutes per day to do my crafts. I know it sounds silly, but as parents or soon to be parents, we often forget about ourselves too. Ours also gave us outside sources for further help in other situations that require further assistance-like ours pushed for perinatal team to hurry along by asking me if it was okay from me for her to do this for me (already had referral but they were taking far too long despite my frequent calls). Ours has been absolutely 100% amazing for us all, even with meetings with toddlers nursery with us attending, to help our toddlers delays.
